On Monday, May 19 and Tuesday, May 20, 2014 Tri-State Historical Presentations talked to all of the 8th grade students at Washington, Jefferson, and Roosevelt Middle Schools in Dubuque.
Over 780 students were provided sessions on the Civil War as Tri-State Historical Presentations made history come alive for these three schools in Dubuque, Iowa.

The infantry troops discussed all of the materials that they carried on their backs during the war. Here we have students learning hoto drill with their "Quaker Rifles".

Students learned the "social graces" of Civil War dancing.
In groups of 25-30 students, each group spend approximately 20 minutes with each of these four activities! Both the students and their teachers came away with a better understanding of the war and its impact on all Americans from 1861-1865 as a result of the two days of presentations by Tri-State Historical Presentations, Inc.
