Reenactor set up Friday, April 25, 2025

GRANT’S HOME FRONT: Join us in historic Galena, Illinois for the 10th year of U.S. Grant’s Home Front in Galena IN 2025.  Experience a great event run by reenactors in this 1860s town. 

Over 3,000 public visited this event last year! 

Battles each day: Saturday at 11:30 am, Sunday at 1:30 pm

Amenities include a home-cooked breakfast on Saturday. Discounts are available for period-dressed reenactors at the restaurants in Galena. 

Seeking both Confederate and Union Infantry for battles fought along the riverfront. 

Artillery and Medical are CLOSED. 

Dismounted Cavalry (no horses please). 

Special Civilian Camping for the Event.
